PROFILE of Clarence "Ducky" Nash the voice of Donald Duck. Tells about Disney's early days and about how he O.K.'d all productions at the srudio, suggested an occasional gag, edited scripts, made sure the timing of each film was perfect, and read The Mouse's lines in the cartoons. He did not do any drawing. In the 30's, 40's and 50's, the Disney team turned out a new eight-minute animated short every three weeks, in addition to working on the famous feature films. Tells about how a short was developed. When the writers, animators and directors sketched a short, they had a session with Disney where the writers talked about the plot while Disney interupted where he thought the business could be augmented or trimmed. Tells about how Donald Duck was developed. Disney invented the sound cartoon.
