Reminiscences about Frank Harris, Who spent his last days writing a biography on George Bernard Shaw. Tells of the time when Shaw was courting "the Irish millionaress with green eyes", the ample Miss Townshend. In those days, Shaw was a passionate cyclist, and since his bones were more or less brittle, he was always breaking them. One such time, he landed in front of Miss Townshend home with a broken leg. She nursed him through it, and as soon as he was able to manage his crutches, attempted flight. He slipped on the stair, and broke the other leg too. Miss Townshend engulfed him in solicitude. He proposed, and then fainted.
