We were sad to hear of Lou Reed’s death today at the age of seventy-one. Read the Postscript, by Sasha Frere-Jones, and a 1996 tour diary, by Reed, which was published in the magazine. There will be more remembrances posted soon. In the meantime, here is a snapshot of his life in photos:
