“I’m the least athletic person in the world, so I don’t have any personal connection with exercise clubs or sports clubs or anything,” says Bruce McCall à propos of this week’s cover, “ExerCity.” “But I noticed that a lot of clubs are on the second floor and that they always have bicycles lined up, either right in front of the window or near it, so this scenario just occurred to me.” He continued: ”I’m very sedentary, like most artists. I actually have a residual love of baseball, but hockey is my main sport. I have my own TV in the living room because my wife won’t let me put it on in the bedroom—it interferes with her watching television. I’m a philistine, consigned to the corner.”
